Refunds & Returns Policy
At VU Bookshop, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy, our straightforward policy below explains how to return an item and get your money back.
Return Window
You may return books within 3 calendar days from the date of delivery, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. Any request received after this period unfortunately cannot be accepted.
Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Book Received
We pack every book with care, but sometimes things go wrong in transit. If you receive a book that is:
- Wrong book delivered (e.g., incorrect book or old edition)
- The book was damaged during delivery
- Pages are missing or the book is printed incorrectly
Please take the following steps within 3 days of delivery:
- Click clear photos showing the book cover and the damage/misprint part.
- Contact us on WhatsApp at 0326-0775533 with your order number and photos attached.
- Our team will review and respond as soon as possible during working hours.
Once verified, we will offer you a choice of:
- Free Replacement with the correct book
- Full Refund to your original payment method, including any shipping charges you paid
Change of Mind or Ordered Wrong Book Mistakenly
If you simply changed your mind or ordered the wrong book by mistake, we do not accept returns. However, we do offer replacements with the following condition:
The customer pays all shipping charges, including the return parcel and the resent parcel.
How to Return / Replace Books
If you meet the eligibility criteria:
- Raise a Request — Contact us on WhatsApp at 0326-0775533 with subject line: “Return – Order #[YourOrderNumber]”. Tell us the book code and reason for return.
- Get Approval — We’ll reply as soon as possible within working hours, check the request, approve it, and provide the return address.
- Pack & Ship — Use any reliable courier of your choice and send the tracking number or receipt on WhatsApp at 0326-0775533.
For Replacements: We will check the tracking number/receipt and send the replacement book the very next day, even before receiving the returned book.
For Refunds: Once we receive and inspect the book (usually 2–4 business days), we will process your refund.
Order Cancellation
You can cancel your order before it is dispatched. Contact our team on WhatsApp at 0326-0775533.
- If your order has not been dispatched, you can proceed with cancellation and receive a refund.
- If your order has been dispatched, our standard return policy applies once you receive it.
Refund Process
The refund process is simple. Once your refund is approved:
- For Cancelled Orders: Your refund will be issued immediately if cancellation is done before dispatching.
- For Returned Books: Your refund will be issued after we receive and inspect the parcel.
Simply share your bank account details with us, and the refund will be transferred directly.
